Ann Mahoney started acting at the age of 9, and went on to get her B.A. in Acting from Greensboro College, and her M.F.A. in Acting from UCONN, studying Japanese theatre master Tadashi Suzuki’s Suzuki Method of Actor Training. She appeared onstage at Long Wharf Theatre alongside Tony Award winners Jefferson Mays and Frank Woods in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, and starred in Dream Play at The Berkshire Theatre Festival.

She appeared in the Obie-winning The Romance of Magno Rubio Off-Broadway, originating the role of Clarabelle. Back in New Orleans, she appeared in Big Momma’s House 2, Frankenstein (with Parker Posey, Michael Madsen, and Adam Goldberg), and Hart of Dixie (Pilot). She was then cast as Olivia in the hit series The Walking Dead.
