Richard Dubus came up on the mean streets of Thibodaux, Louisiana, where he cut his comic teeth on the hard-core denizens of Wal-Mart and Nicholls State University, where Richard took a degree in communications. Now he uses his superpowers in New Orleans, performing stand-up comedy, and both producing and hosting comedy shows such as the Southland Comedy Showcase here at NOLA Comedy Theater, and the “Bangers and Mash” comedy show at The Irish House on St. Charles Avenue.
Richard was inspired to enter comedy partly by the philosophy of “impact the world with kindness,” which was penned by one of the students that was shot to death in the Columbine massacre.
